What Is a Criss Cross Reference Phone Directory?

Lots of people don’t realize that something known as a reverse cell phone number lookup exists. Using this system, you can discover facts about cell phone numbers, as well as home phone numbers. These facts, which you can access through any number of cell phone number lookup directories, can range from names to addresses to carrier provider details. Additionally, you might even be able to discover criminal records, marital histories, and anything else that’s in a public database.

Lots of different kinds of reverse cell phone number services exist online. You might be able to get them for free, particularly if you’re looking up a land line number. Otherwise, you might have to pay for the service, especially if you want to use the cell phone number lookup feature. Before you pick a service provider, though, you’ll want to understand the distinction between the two different kinds of services that are on offer here.

Typically, you will not find cell phone numbers when using free reverse lookup directory services. Reverse directories are reserved mainly for looking up residential landlines. The directories that do offer reverse cell phone number lookup are often quite limited in the service they offer. There are very few reputable directories that can offer free services for cell phones. Be aware that many of the so called free of charge directory services are scams and usually include details that are unnecessary.

There are many free reverse cell phone directories out there, and they are easy to find. Free reverse cell phone directories will usually only give you the cellular provider’s location and information. They typically do not cover an extensive geographical area nor would they normally provide the user’s name, address or personal information.

On the other hand, the level of service that you receive from a cell phone number lookup directory will depend on which directory you use and how much money you are willing to spend. They provide different amounts of service at different rates. You will want to look at many such services and compare them against each other to determine which one suits you needs at an affordable price. You should also read the reviews posted by customers, both positive and negative. Doing this work will help you reliably find a person name by cell phone number without becoming too expensive to be worthwhile.

In order to get efficient and reliable search results, use the pay for service Criss cross directory for cell phone numbers. Criss cross reference directories that are free of charge only yield results for landline numbers, excluding mobile phone numbers. Mobile phone numbers cannot be populated automatically as is the case with landlines. Instead, the information is collated manually, which is quite expensive to do. An added benefit of paying for reverse cell phone number lookup is the ease with which you will be able to register and search. After entering the number into the search, with the area code and 7 digit number, the search will return matched results from the directory database.

Netsuke Japanese- Beaded Throughout History

Japanese are known for their delicate carving. Netsuke is basically miniature sculptures which have now become a collectable item. Netsuke was a carved piece on the cord of the (sagemono) or a hanging compartment, that was kept tight by the cord bead or ‘ojime’, placed between the ‘inro’ and the netsuke. The inro hanged from the kimono sash (obi) and the netsuke was placed below the sash, holding the Sagemono in its place.

They used to have a practical purpose of being a toggle which helped secure things that were hanged from the kimono. In the beginning, the netsuke was made of wood, but later on more expensive materials came into being and you can find old netsuke crafted out of amber, bone, antlers, ivory both elephant and marine with exotic precious stone inlays and carvings. Netsuke was in vogue from the 17th to the early part of the 19th century but after the Meiji Restoration, it gradually disappeared after Western clothes came into focus.

There are four types of netsuke basically: Katabori (common and compact), Manju (flat resembling a button), Sashi (long and thin) and Kagamibuta (lid and bowl). Collectors prefer the different styles of netsuke specially the decorative mask netsuke which were miniature replicas of the masks worn in the popular plays of Noh and Kyogen. Another popular choice is the carved human figure (katabori) and Kagamibuta, comprising of a set of netsuke which have a metal lid and bowl, handcrafted from ivory. A special name ‘Netsukeshi’ was given to the carvers of netsuke, whose background was a sculptor and an artist.

Although the popularity of collecting netsuke has gained popularity over the past few years, fakes are often sold to those who do not have a keen eye to spot the difference. In case, you plan to buy an original netsuke, it is best to consult someone who has been in the field of art collection or is an authority on the subject. There are many sites that sell classic reproductions of these also which may not be valued on their antiquity but are prized due to their craftsmanship.

Many artists still carry the knowledge of crafting netsuke that had been passed generation to generation, but sell them as modern version as a curio. You can search online and get many good deals on intricate sculpted netsuke that might hold your attention due to the sheer beauty of the carving.

Things To Think About When Choosing Rugs And Carpets

Some individuals decide to use area rugs and carpets in their homes because it’s efficient in that it helps prevent floors from being scraped and because it helps keep the little ones from tracking dirt and mud all through the dwelling. Others opt for berber area rugs for their aesthetic appeal. But whether you are obtaining a rug or carpet for function or beauty one thing is sure; they not only come in a wide range of colors, styles, sizes and designs, but they also come in a broad price range and this sometimes makes it tough to choose one.

Many individuals think that the higher the price the better the area rug or commercial carpet tiles. However for the most part it is incorrect. While carpets and rugs that
are made from various materials can get more costly than others, it is also possible to find these in modest price ranges that will offer you exactly what you want and what you are looking for. It all depends on a handful of factors like where you really buy your area carpet or rug, and surely, if the carpet or rug offers everything you are looking for since some people would pay high prices for one of these and won’t want individuals walking on them when what was required in the first place was a rug that would keep dirt from spreading throughout the dwelling!

Whatever price range you choose you should always bear quality in mind. After all there are many carpets that come cheaply and their quality is just as good as if you paid a million dollars for it. You should also bear the design and style in mind because your dwelling shouldn’t look cheap even if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on an area carpet or rug. The idea is to get the best possible look, atmosphere and function for the best possible price. Sometimes this may entail having to spend a little more than you first budgeted, but again, it depends on where you look. Don’t be alarmed to shop around, it is your right as a consumer to get value for your money!

It is really no surprise how much of a difference quality rugs and carpets can make when you are considering home improvement suggestions. If aesthetic merit is your foremost concern then you’ll probably want to set aside a moderately sizeable budget especially for this acquisition. The difference between quality rugs and cheaper rugs is that the material is usually superior and the creator usually expels his creativity and professional skills in rug or carpet making such as hand woven patterns and skilled stitching. It is these details that give the most expensive rugs and carpets their merit. The colors on quality rugs and carpets are also a lot clearer and the patterns are often
more visually appealing. The ideal area rug or carpet can be difficult to find especially if you are working on a budget but with a little shopping around, patience and a little financial compromise, you are sure to find something that will make your home look elegant.

UV Air Purifiers

Ever since I quit smoking some years ago, I’ve had this intense aversion to cigarette smoke. Maybe it’s not being given a choice on the quality of air I breathe even after I’ve chosen NOT to blacken my lungs with nicotine! Anyway, our office building recently integrated UV air purifiers into the ventilation system and they passed around some material that’s making me consider using UV air filters in my apartment as well.

The flyers they handed out said ultraviolet light damages microorganisms that cause diseases like tuberculosis, so that the diseases don’t spread. In fact, the US government has recommended that homeless shelters use UV lights for that reason.

Ultraviolet light is said to reduce 99% of the germs in a ventilation system. In one study where the UV system was used in cycles (meaning it was turned off sometimes) respiratory complaints went down by 40% and visible problems with phlegm, sinuses, etc. went down by 30%, some weeks.

When the ultraviolet lights were on, complaints from nonsmokers went down by HALF. What’s more, problems with breathing went down by as much as 60%.

One pamphlet I read said scientists over at Penn State say that germs die outdoors mainly because of the UV in sunlight. It makes you kind of wonder why nobody thought about this before though.

The only thing about UV air cleaners is that the air MUST pass through the ultraviolet light for germs to be killed. So, I’m installing a couple of UV air purifiers in my apartment next week.

Air Depot Home Purifier Anyone?

If you can’t visit Houston, Texas to buy an Air Depot home purifier and check out their store, you can call (832) 358-5050 to ask where their products are available in your state.

You can also check out eBay and bid on some of the air cleaners offered there. Just make sure you’re getting a genuine Air Depot home purifier not some cheap knockoff.

Also, be careful about visiting and buying air purifiers from what appears to be a cloned or bogus site that bears the Air Depot name but offers another brand of air cleaner.

I tried to Google Air Depot and ran into this strange site with an Air Depot URL but offering another brand of air cleaner if you look closer.

I’m not surprised Air Depot is being cloned.

I recently read some consumer reviews of people who’ve used Air Depot products in their homes or had their heating/cooling airways retrofitted by Air Depot. Well, they were just raving about the products AND the service they got!

It seems that Air Depot can give you several choices to fit your specific budget and requirement. If you call on them to install an air cleaner system they are said to be punctual and will even take great pains to protect your furniture and home while they work!

A Positive Spin on Negative Ion Air Purifiers

I remember how my roommates and I used to have a minor spat whenever we ran out of fresh air filters for the negative ion air purifiers at our old college dorm rooms. It was always a sore point on whose turn it was to buy the filters.

Students in today’s dorms probably argue about which brand of negative ion air purifiers are best before they can move on to the nitty-gritty of whose turn it is to change the filters.

Negative ion air purifiers, no matter the brand, will probably work in the same way.

Airborne particles generally have a positive charge. Since opposite charges attract, the negative ions released by air cleaners attract the positively charged particles in the air.

Airborne negative ions will continue to attract dust and sundry particles until the heavy, ionized particles becomes so dense that they fall from the air. Since they are no longer airborne, the dust and other particles will no longer be inhaled and they are prevented from interfering with respiration and causing problems.

You can just vacuum, dust, or sweep away ionized particles. If they become airborne during cleaning, the ionization process will simply be repeated.

Negative ion air purifiers are no longer just used in dorm rooms and households. They have made their way into cars as well.

One interesting study comes courtesy of the Toyota Central R & D Laboratories, which showed ionization relieves fatigue and enhances cognition in drivers. Now THAT’s uplifting!

Whole House Air Purifiers

Whole house air purifiers retrofitted to a home sounds like a wonderful idea – until the contractor presents you with the estimate. Is there a way to get around the hefty price tag? Well, you can always install your home air filters yourself!

The best air cleaners for whole home use are the electrostatic ones of the pleated variety. Aside from not costing an arm and a leg, they are so easy to set up that you will not need a contractor.

If you aren’t really inclined to retrofitting your home with filters by yourself, opt for contractor-installed electronic cleaners instead. These electrostatic precipitators attract particles using a fan. High-voltage wires charge the particles, which are then collected with electric plates.

Whole house air purifiers simply attach to a home furnace’s cold air return. But how effective are they? Well, these air cleaners remove 95% of airborne dirt and 85% of small airborne particles.

If you get your materials from a heating contractor, you will probably spend no more than $900 including installation. But you can easily spend as little as $300 (including installation) if your home set up is not complex – which can be even less if you do it yourself.

Collector plates with well-known brands could cost you most of your budget with prices running to $500 for brands such as Carrier. So check your contractor for lesser known brands or generic plates.

How Do Air Purifiers Help Asthma Symptoms?

Breathing is largely taken for granted, after all you do not have to think about breathing to do it.. breathing is a subconscious activity. However, for asthmatics breathing is something that is greatly appreciated every moment of every day. The asthma disease affects the lungs and air passageways of an individual making it hard for the person to breathe. Roughly 20 million people are affected by asthma in the U.S. There is no known cure for asthma, however, there are a lot of things a sufferer can do to suppress the symptoms such as using an air purifier to treat asthma.

The asthma disease is made up of two main components which are constriction and inflammation. Both of these components happen in the lung passageways. Constriction is the narrowing of the airways due to muscles tightening around them, inflammation is the irritation of of the airways which causes them to swell. The combination of these components cause the symptoms of asthma which is breathing difficulty and swelling of the lungs resulting in a person experiencing an asthma attack coughing and wheezing to try and breathe properly. Asthma attacks can happen at any given moment, sometimes severe and sometimes just like a shortness of breath.

Air purifiers are able to help with asthma in the fact that there are quite a lot of contaminants in the air that can trigger asthma. Such air contaminants include: allergens, pet dander, dust, pollen or chemicals. When these airborne substances get inhaled by an asthma sufferer they can cause a reaction resulting in the asthmatic experiencing difficulty breathing. The toxins found within indoor air can be removed through the use of an air purifier thus creating a better environment for asthma sufferers. With less contaminants in the air the probability of an asthma attack is much lower for the asthma sufferer.

The majority of air purifiers have been proven to filter out 99.7% of all particles from indoor air. Chemical fumes, tobacco smoke and dust can be absorbed by an air purifier filter. High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters (HEPA filters) that are often used in air purifiers are very efficient in filtering out most toxins that can be related to asthma attacks from within indoor air . They can remove 99.7% of all particles that are 0.03 microns & larger. These kind of particles include dust and pollen particles - often the major cause of asthma attacks for sufferers. If the pollutants from the indoor air are not removed they circulate around the indoor space eventually getting breathed in potentially causing minor to severe asthma attacks. With the use of an air purifier the pollutants are taken out of the air so the are unable to continue circulating through the air.

During 1990 a review of indoor air pollutants published by The American Thoracic Society reported air purifiers using HEPA filters can filter a significant quantity of particles from indoor air, resulting in cleaner & safer air for breathing. Asthmatics utilizing air purifiers in their homes have a smaller chance of experiencing an asthma attack due to the asthma triggering pollutants being no longer present in the air they are breathing indoors.

What Are Whole House Air Purifiers?

Whole house air purifiers are designed by manufacturers so that they can be installed in a air conditioning, central heating, or HVAC system. One of the major benefits of having a whole house air purifier is that they are completely out of sight because they literally become ‘part’ of the house. The filters for whole house air purifiers are found in a plenum or air-grille. Whenever your central systems fan starts up and moves the air around your home it will be doing so through the whole house air purifier filters thus cleaning most of the air in your home.

This is a great way to purify the air of your whole house with minimal disruption, however, not every household has a system already build in which can accommodate whole house air purifiers.

Do Air Purifiers Really Work?

You may well at some point have ask yourself this question (especially before owning an air purifier!)…

do air purifiers really work?

If you have it really is understandable.. because the thought that an air purifier could remove close to 100% of particles/pollutants in your air does sound incredible.

However, whilst air purifiers have been proven to be very effective ‘technically’ and even though air purifiers are often the holy grail for allergy sufferers everywhere, experts suggest that nobody should solely rely only on air purifiers. The best way for achieving healthy breathable air in your home or office is to use an air purifier together with natural window ventilation.

So the next time you ask yourself ‘do air purifiers really work?‘… remember that yes they do work, and very well, BUT they are not the whole picture. You must also accompany the air purifier with a regularly cleaned environment and good natural window ventilation. Then you will know that air purifiers do really work to create healthy breathable air.
