What Is a Criss Cross Reference Phone Directory?

July 29, 2008

Filed under: Air Purifier General Info — editor @ 7:00 pm

Lots of people don’t realize that something known as a reverse cell phone number lookup exists. Using this system, you can discover facts about cell phone numbers, as well as home phone numbers. These facts, which you can access through any number of cell phone number lookup directories, can range from names to addresses to carrier provider details. Additionally, you might even be able to discover criminal records, marital histories, and anything else that’s in a public database.

Lots of different kinds of reverse cell phone number services exist online. You might be able to get them for free, particularly if you’re looking up a land line number. Otherwise, you might have to pay for the service, especially if you want to use the cell phone number lookup feature. Before you pick a service provider, though, you’ll want to understand the distinction between the two different kinds of services that are on offer here.

Typically, you will not find cell phone numbers when using free reverse lookup directory services. Reverse directories are reserved mainly for looking up residential landlines. The directories that do offer reverse cell phone number lookup are often quite limited in the service they offer. There are very few reputable directories that can offer free services for cell phones. Be aware that many of the so called free of charge directory services are scams and usually include details that are unnecessary.

There are many free reverse cell phone directories out there, and they are easy to find. Free reverse cell phone directories will usually only give you the cellular provider’s location and information. They typically do not cover an extensive geographical area nor would they normally provide the user’s name, address or personal information.

On the other hand, the level of service that you receive from a cell phone number lookup directory will depend on which directory you use and how much money you are willing to spend. They provide different amounts of service at different rates. You will want to look at many such services and compare them against each other to determine which one suits you needs at an affordable price. You should also read the reviews posted by customers, both positive and negative. Doing this work will help you reliably find a person name by cell phone number without becoming too expensive to be worthwhile.

In order to get efficient and reliable search results, use the pay for service Criss cross directory for cell phone numbers. Criss cross reference directories that are free of charge only yield results for landline numbers, excluding mobile phone numbers. Mobile phone numbers cannot be populated automatically as is the case with landlines. Instead, the information is collated manually, which is quite expensive to do. An added benefit of paying for reverse cell phone number lookup is the ease with which you will be able to register and search. After entering the number into the search, with the area code and 7 digit number, the search will return matched results from the directory database.

Installer Climatiseur Split - Air Conditioning Tips & Tricks - Tips For Having an Air Conditioning System
By Ruduck Murray

In this page we will give everyone a few simple tips and steps that can end up saving you a lot of money when it comes to running your air conditioner. A little planning before installing your air conditioner will save you energy and money.

Try setting your thermostat between 72°F and 78°F. Each degree setting below 78°F will increase your energy consumption by approximately 8%. As you can see, that can add up to a lot of money over a year. Inspect and clean both the indoor and outdoor AC/Heating coils. The indoor coil in your air conditioner acts as a magnet for dust because it is constantly wetted during the cooling season. Dirt build-up on the indoor coil is the single most common cause of poor efficiency. The outdoor coil must also be checked periodically for dirt build-up and cleaned if necessary.

Check the refrigerant charge. The circulating fluid in your air conditioner is a special refrigerant gas that is put in when the system is installed. If the system is overcharged or undercharged with refrigerant, it will not work properly. You may need a service contractor to check the fluid and adjust it appropriately.

Use bath and kitchen fans sparsely when you are running the air conditioning system.

Reduce the cooling load by using cost-effective conservation measures. For example, effectively shade east and west windows. When possible, delay heat-generating activities, such as dishwashing or baking, until the evening on hot days.

Try to not use a dehumidifier at the same time your air conditioner is operating. The dehumidifier will increase the cooling load and force the air conditioner to work harder, which in turn increases your utility bill.

Over most of the cooling season, keep the house closed tight during the day. Don’t let in unwanted heat and humidity. If practical, ventilate at night either naturally or with fans.

Room Air Conditioning Units

The unit should be level when installed, so that the inside drainage system and other mechanisms operate efficiently. If possible, install the unit in a shaded spot on your home’s north or east side. Direct sunshine on the unit’s outdoor heat exchanger decreases efficiency by as much as 10%. You can plant trees and shrubs to shade the air conditioner, but do not block the airflow.

Set the fan speed on high, except on very humid days. When humidity is high, set the fan speed on low for more comfort. The low speed on humid days will cool your home better and will remove more moisture from the air because of slower air movement through the cooling equipment. Consider using an interior fan in conjunction with your window air conditioner to spread the cooled air more effectively through your home without greatly increasing electricity use.

Set your air conditioner’s thermostat as high as comfortably possible in the summer. The less difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures, the lower your overall cooling bill will be. And don’t set your thermostat at a colder setting than normal when you turn on your air conditioner. It will not cool your home any faster and could result in excessive cooling and, therefore, unnecessary expense.

Don’t place lamps or televisions near your air-conditioner’s thermostat. The thermostat senses heat from these appliances, which can cause the air conditioner to run longer than necessary.

Proper maintenance of your air conditioner will also save energy. Be sure to do the following:

At the start of each cooling season, inspect the seal between the air conditioner and the window frame to ensure it makes contact with the unit’s metal case. Moisture can damage this seal, allowing cool air to escape from your house.

Check your unit’s air filter once a month and clean or replace filters as necessary. Keeping the filter clean can lower your air conditioner’s energy consumption by 5% to 15%.

Occasionally pass a stiff wire through the unit’s drain channels. Clogged drain channels prevent a unit from reducing humidity, and the resulting excess moisture may discolor walls or carpet.

*In the winter, either cover your room air conditioner or remove and store it.

Netsuke Japanese- Beaded Throughout History

May 26, 2008

Filed under: Air Purifier General Info — editor @ 6:23 pm

Japanese are known for their delicate carving. Netsuke is basically miniature sculptures which have now become a collectable item. Netsuke was a carved piece on the cord of the (sagemono) or a hanging compartment, that was kept tight by the cord bead or ‘ojime’, placed between the ‘inro’ and the netsuke. The inro hanged from the kimono sash (obi) and the netsuke was placed below the sash, holding the Sagemono in its place.

They used to have a practical purpose of being a toggle which helped secure things that were hanged from the kimono. In the beginning, the netsuke was made of wood, but later on more expensive materials came into being and you can find old netsuke crafted out of amber, bone, antlers, ivory both elephant and marine with exotic precious stone inlays and carvings. Netsuke was in vogue from the 17th to the early part of the 19th century but after the Meiji Restoration, it gradually disappeared after Western clothes came into focus.

There are four types of netsuke basically: Katabori (common and compact), Manju (flat resembling a button), Sashi (long and thin) and Kagamibuta (lid and bowl). Collectors prefer the different styles of netsuke specially the decorative mask netsuke which were miniature replicas of the masks worn in the popular plays of Noh and Kyogen. Another popular choice is the carved human figure (katabori) and Kagamibuta, comprising of a set of netsuke which have a metal lid and bowl, handcrafted from ivory. A special name ‘Netsukeshi’ was given to the carvers of netsuke, whose background was a sculptor and an artist.

Although the popularity of collecting netsuke has gained popularity over the past few years, fakes are often sold to those who do not have a keen eye to spot the difference. In case, you plan to buy an original netsuke, it is best to consult someone who has been in the field of art collection or is an authority on the subject. There are many sites that sell classic reproductions of these also which may not be valued on their antiquity but are prized due to their craftsmanship.

Many artists still carry the knowledge of crafting netsuke that had been passed generation to generation, but sell them as modern version as a curio. You can search online and get many good deals on intricate sculpted netsuke that might hold your attention due to the sheer beauty of the carving.

Things To Think About When Choosing Rugs And Carpets

May 21, 2008

Filed under: Air Purifier General Info — editor @ 7:28 pm

Some individuals decide to use area rugs and carpets in their homes because it’s efficient in that it helps prevent floors from being scraped and because it helps keep the little ones from tracking dirt and mud all through the dwelling. Others opt for berber area rugs for their aesthetic appeal. But whether you are obtaining a rug or carpet for function or beauty one thing is sure; they not only come in a wide range of colors, styles, sizes and designs, but they also come in a broad price range and this sometimes makes it tough to choose one.

Many individuals think that the higher the price the better the area rug or commercial carpet tiles. However for the most part it is incorrect. While carpets and rugs that
are made from various materials can get more costly than others, it is also possible to find these in modest price ranges that will offer you exactly what you want and what you are looking for. It all depends on a handful of factors like where you really buy your area carpet or rug, and surely, if the carpet or rug offers everything you are looking for since some people would pay high prices for one of these and won’t want individuals walking on them when what was required in the first place was a rug that would keep dirt from spreading throughout the dwelling!

Whatever price range you choose you should always bear quality in mind. After all there are many carpets that come cheaply and their quality is just as good as if you paid a million dollars for it. You should also bear the design and style in mind because your dwelling shouldn’t look cheap even if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on an area carpet or rug. The idea is to get the best possible look, atmosphere and function for the best possible price. Sometimes this may entail having to spend a little more than you first budgeted, but again, it depends on where you look. Don’t be alarmed to shop around, it is your right as a consumer to get value for your money!

It is really no surprise how much of a difference quality rugs and carpets can make when you are considering home improvement suggestions. If aesthetic merit is your foremost concern then you’ll probably want to set aside a moderately sizeable budget especially for this acquisition. The difference between quality rugs and cheaper rugs is that the material is usually superior and the creator usually expels his creativity and professional skills in rug or carpet making such as hand woven patterns and skilled stitching. It is these details that give the most expensive rugs and carpets their merit. The colors on quality rugs and carpets are also a lot clearer and the patterns are often
more visually appealing. The ideal area rug or carpet can be difficult to find especially if you are working on a budget but with a little shopping around, patience and a little financial compromise, you are sure to find something that will make your home look elegant.

Buying a Modern Sofa Bed

May 13, 2008

Filed under: Indoor Air Quality Info — editor @ 5:52 am

Most sofa styles are broken down into two types, traditional or modern. One of these styles will definitely fit into the overall theme of your home, and the other won’t. Most people keep their sofas for a period between 5 to 8 years. When my husband and I bought our last sofa we chose a modern sofa bed for several reasons. One is that we knew that we’d shortly be moving to another state and that family would be coming to visit and need a place to stay. Another reason is that we got a fantastic buy on our sofa bed. It’s very comfortable to sit on, and it has a very comfortable mattress for our family when they visit.

A Guide To Shopping For An Air Purifier

March 12, 2008

Filed under: Air Purifier Reviews — editor @ 11:15 am

Air purifiers have become rather popular today as a way to help people with allergies control their indoor environments, and to filter both indoor and outdoor pollution. The proper air purifiers can make your indoor home or office environment healthier, but there are several types of air purifiers, and you need to know the difference when you plan to purchase one. The following information will help you make the right choice when looking for an air purifier.

Types of Air Purifiers

There are essentially three technologies that purify air: HEPA filters that trap the smallest of air particles; Ionization which cleanse air by emitting a certain percentage of ozone, and electrostatic air purification which has charged plates that have positive and negative polarity. Air purifiers can use a combination of HEPA filters, with a pre-filter that begins capturing particles even before they get to the HEPA filer. Ionic purifiers have been discouraged by some sources because the ozone emissions may affect people with allergies and asthma, something an air purifier is meant to avert.

Within these three types of purifiers, there are subtle deviations among models and different sizes and features. Air purifiers can be comparitively small, designed to sit on a desk in an office, or be quite of large stand-up models for purifying air in a large room or rooms.

Air purifiers differ in the amount of allergens and other air impurities that are removed from the air. Many boast that they remove from 98% to 100% of impurities, while others remove around 80% to 85%. Some air purifiers are filterless, while others work with filters that trap the pollutants within the filter. Some air purifiers do their task with a fair amount of noise, while others boast a silent system of purification. Some air purifiers wipe out a host of pollutants including allergens, viruses, bacteria and odors, but don’t eliminate chemical pollutants. Others cover all types of pollutants.

Price

Good air purifiers could be relatively expensive, depending on size and features. Air filters start at around $60 for a simple, relatively small table top air purifier, and go up to $700 for large floor models. The price will also vary based on the technology used to purify the air, and the percentage and type of particulates that are ultimately trapped by the technology. You can view a full line of air purifiers at www.wize.com/airpurifiers.

Designs

Air purifiers differ a lot in design. There are air purifiers made of different materials, colors, shapes and sizes. There are stand-up and portable models. If you will purchase a rather large standing model that will have the ability to cover a large area, you will want to choose a model that is not only safe and effective, but that will go with your room environment. Visit www.wize.com/airpurifiers to view all of the diverse models and designs.

Where to Shop

It may be difficult to find a large selection of air filters in stores. Some specialized stores, such as the Sharper Image, may have a selection, along with large department stores. It is easiest to shop online to see the complete line of air filters available, and understand the different features. You can also comparison shop online to get the best buy.

Ratings

It is very important to check ratings and reviews of air purifiers because each model has a different technology for removing pollutants, and some air purifiers are more operational at removing more pollutants. The powerful consumer resource, www.wize.com/airpurifiers , will give you an overall rating on each air purifier model that is based on numerous individual reviews. You can also read the specific reviews behind the score.

Technical Specifications

Technical specifications will vary greatly among air purifiers. Technical specifications for a mid-priced ($200) standing air purifier may consist of maintenance free – with no filters, no fan speeds, and no controls. It will cover a room size of 450-650 square feet. A $400 model may have an internal ionizer, HEPA carbon filter that will last 6 months; a low noise level; four fan speeds; manual control knobs, and clean a room up to 365 square feet.

UV Air Purifiers

June 7, 2007

Filed under: Air Purifier General Info — Administrator @ 10:54 am

Ever since I quit smoking some years ago, I’ve had this intense aversion to cigarette smoke. Maybe it’s not being given a choice on the quality of air I breathe even after I’ve chosen NOT to blacken my lungs with nicotine! Anyway, our office building recently integrated UV air purifiers into the ventilation system and they passed around some material that’s making me consider using UV air filters in my apartment as well.

The flyers they handed out said ultraviolet light damages microorganisms that cause diseases like tuberculosis, so that the diseases don’t spread. In fact, the US government has recommended that homeless shelters use UV lights for that reason.

Ultraviolet light is said to reduce 99% of the germs in a ventilation system. In one study where the UV system was used in cycles (meaning it was turned off sometimes) respiratory complaints went down by 40% and visible problems with phlegm, sinuses, etc. went down by 30%, some weeks.

When the ultraviolet lights were on, complaints from nonsmokers went down by HALF. What’s more, problems with breathing went down by as much as 60%.

One pamphlet I read said scientists over at Penn State say that germs die outdoors mainly because of the UV in sunlight. It makes you kind of wonder why nobody thought about this before though.

The only thing about UV air cleaners is that the air MUST pass through the ultraviolet light for germs to be killed. So, I’m installing a couple of UV air purifiers in my apartment next week.
